Recently, We celebrated Flag Day. We ventured out with the boys and Nana to the parade. It was such a blessing to see so many people show respect for our service members who were throughout the parade. Tho' our military is all done by volunteering I wonder somedays of people realize what these service men and women go through. About half way through the parade the gentleman in these pictures caught my eye. I seen him and imagined he too fought in a war. But I am sure his welcome home was much different then the way service members are welcomed home now. To see his pride for what these soldiers do and have done... To see his sincere gratitude to each of them...It showed Patriotism in a way that isn't easily put to words.
